There are two categories of water bills.
After-Pay
That means pay after using water. Normally, we pay water bills in online platform like Wechat and Alipay.
Choose corresponding water company and enter the water account number (your room number will be included in the account; the account can be tied to Alipay or wechat to set an automatical payment). Then, your water bill will be shown on the screen. Pay with money through Alipay or Wechat, there will be a proof after paying. The proof can be used to apply for the invoice. Water bill will come out every 2 months, don’t forget to check on time, in case of short of water.
Pre-pay
Theat means you will get a water card, the card is inserted in the water meter (ususllay outside the door or in the house). Top up the card in the appointed place before using water. Sometimes, water will be cut off if it is below a set number (for example 5m³). Remember to pay close attention to the balance.
The water bill of Suzhou has three ranges within a year:
0-216m³ –3.41rmb/m³
216-300m³ — 4.34rmb/m³
more than 300m³ –7.13rmb/m³
